COT is weekly. If you are trading the weekly charts I suppose you can use COT info, but... uhm, if you are trading the weekly you do not NEED COT info.
Have you read this?

Personally I go to http://www.timingcharts.com and review the charts there.
Ilook for the commercials and large traders places to come together.

This is a trade I did last year. Its that a commodity-some say COT works better with commodities.
I watched the positioning come together (black circle). Then entered after a fashion line bounce (green).
I am currently watching the price since there is potentially a similar situation in the red circle.

Many people today say follow the advertisements positions, some say follow the big traders.
Nobody says follow the tiny speculators and this is a fantastic illustration why

Practice the big traders.... Watch the video,.... Oh wait that would mean that you need to do something rather than be spoon fed.Quote:

Can you show us some example, how do we determine long or short,
by employing the COT report for GBP?

Also see time charts...http://www.timingcharts.com/ When you goto time charts you will want to open the drop down list of markets and goto EURO Globex.... You can register and have your settings saved so that you may come back to the charts you are intersted in rather than go through the decoration, and see the movie http://www.pfxglobal.com/follow-the-...ion-video.html
One final theing, when you go to the CFTC site for commnt of traders.... Use the type, not he long form.
Can you notify me to the under, can it be net short or long?
Cause actual chart is an uptrend, but in reality, if we follow the COT on 9/9/08, is revealing a net short.

I have completed research on COT over the web, but can't find an answer on that.
