Thread: horizontal lines on MACD

  1. #1
The method I want to follow requires that I reveal 7 i.e. 3 levels, 3 - levels and the 0 level. When I input these amounts in the MACD selector box and then click on OK it only shows the first plus level, the first minus level and the 0 level and no flat lines.

    Can anyone help please?

You need to be far more special than that...

If you're using the MT4 default MACD indior.
You might be entering too large a number for every measure. For instance on an hour chart try amounts like .0005 and .001 You could alter the time period of your chart where you entered the 3 amounts for testing. I think you will see them from the time you get up to the time period that is monthly. Be sure that the lines are a different color than the background of the chart.

    Hello nvwine,

    Many thanks for your reply.

The levels are given from the originator of the system (s' 4HR MACD method} and are 0.0015, 0.0030, 0,0045 and -0.0015, 0.0030, 0.0045.

I suppose the sensible thing to do is to present the question on that thread but thanks for offering your assistance once more.

If I understand correctly it seems to work. Some times you will only understand the.0015 levels because of MACD range. Just like I did for your screen shot, if you would like to see all of the time to all of the amounts you're able to pick the minimum and maximum.

Hey nvwine, thanks for going to all that trouble to get a dumbo like me. I am very grateful to you.

    Good luck
