Thread: Technicals Vs. Fundamentals?

Can you agree thatAll known market information regarding supply and demand, can be found in price chart, which makes fundamentals irrelevant? Considering that all known market info is already factored into price, you're effectively trying to forecast the future, as well as the events that will occur in it, if you consider fundamentals? Alternatively, would you agree that it is important to understand/consider that the fundimentals on the other side of the asset you are trading?

    Why?

I will select my article thanks.

    Your perception is illogical.

Why could a fundamental analyst/trader ditch their way of analysis from what was a significant market jolt? They know that these shocks occur all the time in the markets.

No doubt a few fundamental traders lost money but surely should still in business they'd have learned in the encounter and built that into their analysis procedure for the future? I doubt they'd have said something like'the peg split demonstrates once and for all that fundamental analysis is not any good so I will ditch it'. If they had said that I'd ask them and they I'd be ready for a load of crap and ums and ahs.

Anyway, most fundamental traders have not got anything to do with Swiss Franc resources and even though the move echoed around the world the majority of unrelated markets weren't effected that much and soon return to their normal ways. And the fantastic fundamental analysts could have seen the Swiss break as an opportunity of some sort just as they do with ALL market shocks.

Fundamental analysis is an old as the ancient Egyptians and is never going off for the huge majority of investors (notice, not traders).

I use technical analysis when I am TRADING and Fundamental analysis when I am INVESTING, that is the key difference from my perspective. Both are helpful egies but only when combined with a time-horizon, risk appetite and target return which suits the egy being implemented. .

On some occasions a mix of both is also ideal, Purchasing the trend using fundamentals and then trading within the trend cycle using some Brief term technicals

You merely typed paragraph after paragraph all to chase an argument that was never produced because you couldn't read a simple sentence.

    Astounding.

Analysis technically and fundamentally equally significant. Technical analysis describes previous data and indiors to make chart in forex trading while fundamental analysis refers to the analysis of the economic news that's both affect each other

Both Technical analysis and Fundamental analysis are equally unimportant.

The sort of analysis matters so much because it convinces the logical mind to:
    1. Produce a strategy for being net long in a bull market and internet short in a bear market.
    2. Stick to the plan.

This may be accomplished with technicals or fundamentals or tea leaves. Aside from the aforementioned factors, your selection of analysis is about as important as choosing a colour or flavour.
