Thread: Any MIG users? Different candle close times between MIG demo and MT4 demo?

    HI,

    I wonder whether there is any live or demo MIG clients here? I downloaded MIG demo and'm also using StrategyBuilder MT4 presentation and I contrasted the information on the 2 platforms and noticed a big difference in the candle final price.

    For examples, in the 4-hr chart on 05-31-2007, for the candle labelled 1200, the MIG demo closed at 1.9761 while the StrategyBuilder MT4 demo closed at 1.9782 (additionally at time 1200). I noticed there are gaps for the rest of the candles' closing price between the 2 platforms. Although the candles reveal the same time, I think there is a one-hour gap between the near a candle along with the forming of a new candle between the 2 platforms.

    Would you allow me to know why it is like that and how do I fix it? It is summertime now but shouldn't both demos already take account of this? I discovered it makes a difference using which demo to backtest as it makes gaps in the backtest result.

    Thanks.

    Why they stop price feeder, from their server, while BIG news affect the forex market?

    Anyone can clarify?

    Or maybe my platform hang?

    Please take a look at this screen capture!

Most brokers change the offset for summertime. IBFX is GMT 0 for the whole year. Four hour candles are effected with the broker's opening time at the start of the week.

    Concerning your question about MIG and SBFX, there are a one hour gap in the time.
    The following are for summertime. I hope that my memory is correct on a couple of those.
    MIG = GMT 2
    SBFX=GMT 3
    FXDD=GMT 3
    Alpri =GMT 2
    IBFX =GMT 0
    North=GMT 3
    There are gap in the server time and which is quite obvious as they are using different server times on their platforms. But in accore with your confusion there ought to be 45-60 minutes difference.

    Difference might be there in server time however I do not feel that it should change much in trading. You can not do anything with their times as they're already set.

    You may see another feed coming from

    here is 1 example
    FXDD starts a New Daily,H4, H1, 15, ECT... at 5pm EST on Sunday
    IBFX starts thenew Daily, H4, H1, 15, ECT... at 6pm EST on Sunday

    which do you believe is correct?????

    The FXDD feed is correct if you ask me because the market is obviously beginning a new day,hour,H4, ect.... At that start of this week
    that you will notice a massive differnece in trading if you use brokers with different start times. .

    I will use my EA on FXDD and get WAY differnt outcomes compared to IBFX

    That's better??? It's a challenge to say...
    if it is an EA evaluation it on 4 or 3 MT4 brokers and see exactly what preforms better before jumping into the initial broker you download

    I suggest discover what works for you and address this

    No it is not, not at all. And it was answered by you. Any broker not using the 5:00pm open/close cycle is drastically deteriorating their data quality.

    Relating to this...I tried via search, but I can not appear to loe the old collection of all MT4 brokers on GMT 0 time. Already have IBFX, I want another one:/

    Fast Brokers seems to have switched to FXDD rather for some messed up reason.

    They needed to change, they had been an ib to get fxlq and we know what happen to them.

    Ah, so that they went from thieves to robbers

    Actual pity however, as their feed data upgraded nicely and was not offline up to IBFX's
