I really like analogies and this is one of the best I've seen as it relates to trading:

I don't understand how a number of other traders out there have tried are regular surfers, but I would highly recommend it if purely as a trading excersize. Allow me to elaborate.

I'm not sure of the best way to present this, therefore I will simply list out the analogies which came to head outside on the water now.Trying to surf (exchange ) against the direction of these waves (fad ) is very exhausting, and basically not possible. You may save lots of energy (money) and also have a lot more fun if you ride the waves rather than trying to fight them. You can not ch every wave (fad ). You have to get into position and await the right wave to appear. Occasionally this means sitting in the water all day. Sometimes you fall (get stopped out) away from a fantastic wave (trade). That is just the way it is. You need to get back on your board, paddle back out, and await another wave (trade) to come together. You need to know when to quit driving the waves (tendencies ) to avoid being hurt (giving back profit). You ought to know where this stage is until you ch the wave. Stay of the chop or you will end up very tired very quickly. I'm sure there are lots of more, but you get the idea. At the end of the day, you may physically feel what it means to exchange with the trend.
