Only scam market manufacturer don't expand distribute during news release... Simply avoid it and what will be fine with these brokers. IC Markets has spreads, but Pepperstone is stable. IC Markets had server problems.

    I assessed it upon myfxbook.com

    XM - 39,4 pips
IC Markets- 39,8 pips (not 91 pips)
Pepperstone - it doesn't work well on myfxbook.com now, so it's not possible to check.
    LMAX- 22,9 pips
    International Prime - 27,6 pips
    Tickmill - 19,9 pips
    Exness - 17 pips

You are right, IC Markets spreads during yesterday NZD news was worst among several ECN brokers, so maybe it's not the best broker to exchange the most significant news.

However, spread was very good on NZDUSD, just 8,4 pips!

There is literally no point in trying to compare spreads throughout the news. All brokers will experience spreads. A tighter spread may mean that their are internal counterparties so you are seeing slimmer spreads for each side that are marking up or marking the spreads down.

Also, spreads does not mean that you'll become filled at the bid/ask. You could get eased. If you are trying to trade the news, you're asking to blow your account no matter if you are saving a few pips from 1 broker vs another.

I visit comparisons made with different brokers too, but I'd easily select IC Markets over any of these. They're undoubtedly one of the older brokers within this industry. They also have transparency by publishing volumes, which offers some indiion of the profitability and willingness to honor your withdrawal requests. I'd avoid XM Exness like the plague.

ICMarkets good during day and worse at end of day. Spreads will be 30-50 pips for 30min or so. If you do not maintain margin. You will loose your money for no reason.
