    Hello guys,

It's never run with this because after 1 sec it stinks computer so that I must restart it with button. It does not freeze when I am not connected to the Internet. Does anybody have simmilar problem and can help me? I would be very grateful!!! ps. I've been on many web sites and looked for help but couldn't find it. Also I tried to set up in other path then x86 program files and I tried the newest version of MT4 - nothing worked.

The Taskmanager window should be set to constantly ontop. (OptionsAlways ontop).

Set the sorting order of the processes to demone those with the maximum load on top. (Click the CPU Title twice).

If that doesn't help then you are going to need to try disabling all running progr.

If that fails you can move on to reviewing which services are running. Also accessible via msconfig. Look through the running services and try to identify any that could be linked to websites. Disable restart and them. Read what you do so you can restore the preferences.

Win 7 on 64 bits is known to have a lot of compatibility issues. If you have an originial permit it is possible to contact the windows support team and ask them if they could take care of the problem.

Have you got a firewall appliion on the laptop? If so my money would be about that being the problem. The fact that mt4 runs when you aren't online tells me you have a firewall issue when it attempts to connect when the net is running. It wouldn't surprise me if you are obtaining a firewall popup OFF screen, or perhaps you are getting the UAC window asking to give mt4 permissions at precisely the exact same time as your firewall popup attempts to show and this somehow makes a battle with the firewall. Simply taking guess here.

I have win7 64 on my desktop and laptop, and neither have problems with mt4 once you proceed to the mt4 folder outside of program files folder.

I have a year old Toshiba laptop with Windows 7 64 bit OS. I've never had a problem with hanging or response. I've conducted demos from 4 brokers at the moment. Used disconnect problems and to get response. I run a firewall all the time. Do not disable your firewallunless you are ready to rebuild your system from the recovery disc.

I've had a few problems with accessing the indiors from the folders using the default installation. I've moved everything to your My Documents folder (in which they ought to be) and these problems are gone.

Edit: I vaguely recall some people were having incompatibility problems with the anti-virus appliions interfering with a industrial EA which included a DLL. This could be about one year. You need to search this forum for anti-virus. If you haven't removed all of your custom indiors and EAs, give that a try.

Assess your network interface driver. . .see when there's an upgrade available.

If that doesn't help, try disabling chimney offloading from the NIC driver installment. The motorist may be looking for your NIC to do all the work and the NIC might not have the equipment to do so, which might make just what you are describing....

Only a hunch, hope it will help

@Mitserdof - yes I attempted on additional Windows 64 bit (for exapmle Dell) and there was no problem.
@ - no I've just Avast and Windows firewall. I've attempted to conduct MT4 with my antivirus software disabled and also without Windows firewall and it also froze
I really don't think that I get any popup away from the screen.

Thank you guys for wanting help me.
I guess it might be something with this kind of laptop.

Get a copy of your or any MT4 demo running on a different device, one that is hopefully Windows XP - when you install it, then install it in the root directory, instead of C:|Program Files|MetaTrader, in other words, install it into C:|MetaTrader. Verify it runs with this device, and confirm it doesn't need to be upgraded - if you are being asked to perform an upgrade (ie., to MT4 v401, then do complete it)

Once it's running good on that device, network copy that new folder/install over to your Win7 x64 machine, then also into the root folder/drive.

After you double click terminal.exe in the newly copied folder onto your Win7 system, it should operate, and the one thing you should need to do is log in with the ideal password. (the password encrypted file doesn't transfer properly between machines, therefore why, for protection, it has to be reinputted).

This ought to make it operate. There can not be anything possibly to do with the type of notebook you have. There a few things that could be debatable, and this guide copy over should avoid those things.

Try booting into'safe mode with networking'. (Press F8 repeatedly on startup to your boot options screen). You need a network link for that.

If it does not work in safe mode then the challenge is probably the network cards drivers. Definately some system software. If it works then you have another software which may be the offender.

Others ideas: You do not say what version of MT4 you're in charge of. Try an older version. 225 or 226? A clean install with no additional indiors, of-course. Delete or rename the file'liveupdate.exe' so it does not run. Open the task manager and have the listing of procedures visible once you begin MT4. You may have the ability to see that the procedure which crashes the machine. Start looking for which procedure is maxed out as soon as the computer becomes unresponsive. Finally, as a stopgap solution you may try runnig MT4 at a digital machine. Win7 pro includes a winXP VM. If you're in charge of a lesser variant use VirtualBox, but you have to have a copy of winXP to put in in it. Or linux if you're able to get MT4 up and running in WINE.
