Results

The total value of machinery orders received by 280 manufacturers operating in Japan improved by 1.3% in March from the prior month on a seasonally-adjusted basis. In January-March period it decreased by 7.9% compared with the prior quarter.
Private-sector machinery orders, excluding volatile ones for ships and people from electrical power power businesses, increased a seasonally-adjusted by 1.4% in March, and confirmed lower by 1.4% in January-March period.

In the April-June period the total quantity of equipment orders was forecasted to decrease by 0.9% and private sector orders, excluding volatile ones, were forecasted to drop by 5.9% from the prior quarter respectively. Summing up the figures from 280 equipment producers ostensibly created this forecast.

In 20-16 Fiscal Year the complete sum of equipment orders reduced by 5.6%. Also private sector orders, excluding volatile ones, improved by 0.5%.
