Thread: Boston Technology MT4 platform

I wish I would have seen this thread. It takes forever to open a trade and more than that to close on(if I am in profit). I tried to close a trade today and the message kept stating awaiting the trader this might take a while). So rather than a 50 pip profit I ended up using 25. I had another metatrader running from another broker and I never had a problem. Same time exactly the same transactions...

Yeah, I believe we figured out six months ago which Boston Technologies bridge did not really get the job done. Utilize MB Trading instead, no issues there. They cleaned up their Demo environment, and it's run smooth ever since.

Hey Fulltime, do you understand who is currently supplying the cleanest unfiltered feed? I've read a lot of your posts and it feels like you are the best person to ask... thanks

They basically become unworthy because the price data is smoothed too much for them to browse the market accurately. I run plenty of demos and understand the signs quite well and once I see that trade after trade the same exact EA on the same exact currency...

Well, you can always ask FinFx Trading if they have what you are looking for. They apply a number of the advanced (non-Boston) technology such as Rous Technology meta-bridge coupled with Integral Development Corp liquidity with implementation times like 300-400 milliseconds. Programmers who operate their own EAs on multiple brokers seem to be happy with them.

Boston Technologies has serious issues with their MT4 platform, at least as it pertains to FXCM. Frequent disconnects, late ticks, you name it. I can not say the exact same for some other brokers with BT. They could sugar coat it all they want in this forum but you do not see different brokers with the need to defend themselves 24/7. Where there is smoke, there most certainly is fire in this instance.

And to top it off, the VPS's they provide (at least FXCM) aren't really personal - they place two users on each VPS.

I am thinking of starting the prime broker service using Boston Technologies. I see. If you could please contact me with any information that is bad or good I would really appreciate it. It is quite tough to find decent info. If anyone has any recomendations on good brokerages offering prime broker services I would also want to hear your recomendations.
    Thank you

BT includes a software called Virtual Dealer Plugin that may be employed to deceive traders, use google to search for NFA virtual trader plug, a lot of information on this particular VDP and you will see many brokers are using them.
